• At age 6, Mozart met Archduchess Marie Antoinette after his performance for the royal courts at Habsburg summer residence. It is said that young Marie helped Mozart when he slipped on a polished floor. In return, Mozart proposed marriage to her.
• At age 11, Mozart wrote his first true opera, Apollo et Hyacinthus.
• Mozart had a pet Starling, a small to medium song bird he bought from a Vienna pet shop. It was Mozart’s best companion who sang his works.
